Minted Holiday Cards

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Minted. All opinions are my own.

Have you sent out your holiday cards yet? Me neither. Yes, Christmas is just mere days away, but I learned a long time ago to put Happy Holidays or Happy New Year on my cards. I'm a procrastinator, and this year we have a new baby thrown into the mix so I'll be lucky to even wrap presents.

Minted though? They've made it easy!

One of the things I hate most in trying to pick cards is choosing a design, uploading my pictures, not liking how it looks, and then staring over. Minted offers Find it Fast - simply upload your picture and see it in several designs all at once! It doesn't get much easier than that!

Their designs are just to die for. Here are a few of my favorites:

If you need your cards quickly, choose the Express option. You'll forgo receiving a proof of your card, but you'll save $10 on your order and it will ship 2 days faster.

Think it doesn't get any better? It does. Minted will address your cards for FREE!

It's as easy as importing your address book. Minted will then send your addressed envelopes along with your cards. All you need to do is put a stamp on them and drop them in the mail.

See? Minted has pretty much left you with no excuses! There is still time to get those cards out for the New Year!

A Christmas Story, The Musical Giveaway

Disclosure: I received two tickets to see A Christmas Story, The Musical. All opinions are my own.

Growing up we LOVED A Christmas Story. Every time my mom made meatloaf you can bet that we chanted, "Meatloaf, smeatloaf, double beatloaf, I hate meatloaf!" In reality we really did liked my mom's meatloaf.

If you love A Christmas Story as much as I did you'll be excited to hear that A Christmas Story, The Musical is currently playing at the Woodlwan Theatre!

Following its 2012 record-breaking Broadway engagement, A Christmas Story, The Musical, premieres in Texas at the Woodlawn Theatre this holiday season. With the show concurrently running in New York and on tour in the north, the
Woodlawn was selected as the exclusive producer for the southern United States.

A Christmas Story, The Musical runs on the Woodlawn main stage from November 29 through December 29. Tickets are on sale now at or by calling the box office at 210-267-8388. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sundays 3 pm. Tickets cost $15 - $23 with discounts for students, military and SATCO members.

Based on the 1983 film that runs round-the-clock on television every year, A Christmas Story, The Musical received rave reviews on its Broadway debut, scoring three 2013 Tony Award nominations, including Best Score, Best Book and Best Musical.

Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Homan, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the BB gun. A kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a cranky department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between the kid and his Christmas dream.

The Woodlawn Theatre is San Antonio’s historic community theatre, located in the heart of the Deco District at 1920 Fredericksburg Road, just south of Hildebrand. Free parking with security patrol is available.

Military Appreciation Night:

The Woodlawn Theatre will hold a military appreciation night on December 19, inviting all active duty military, veterans and their families to enjoy the classic, A Christmas Story, The Musical at half price. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Those with a current, active duty military ID and their families will be provided tickets for $11.50/adults and $7.50/children. Just be sure to bring proof of service to will call the night of the show.

And because I want to spread the holiday cheer I'm giving away TWO tickets to A Christmas Story, The Musical. You'll have one of the following dates to choose from: December 20, 21, 22 or December 27, 28, 29. Showtimes are 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 pm on Sundays. Enter via Rafflecopter below:

3 Months Old!

You're 3 months old!

3 Months

This post is a few weeks late, Thanksgiving was upon us, and then I had to go back to work.

You're weighing in now at just over 14 pounds. I picked you up one morning and you were just so heavy! You're not a super chunk, but you are a solid little boy. I think you're almost 25 inches long now, but you're usually too wiggly for me to get a proper measurement. You're in size two diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothes. There are still some 0-3s that you fit in and you can wear some 6 months, especially if they're pants. You have such long legs and arms like me so I think finding clothes that are long enough will be a battle that we'll share together.

You have started to smile and laugh so much this month. I love to just sit with you and we just smile and giggle at each other. You have two little dimples that are starting to appear more frequently and they go great with you big gummy smile. You won't let me take a picture of you smiling anymore though. You could be laughing and smiling away and the second I pull out my phone (or even the real camera) to catch a picture you go straight poker face on me. You have a great poker face too and have eyes that you can just get lost in.

Speaking of your eyes we're still waiting to see what color they are. Sometimes they look so blue, other times a little green, and even grey.

3 Months

You have gotten great at holding your head up. You don't need a ton of support when we hold you upright. You love to sit and watch TV (it's really just the lights) and to stand. You pretty much always want us to hold you in a standing position. You've almost gotten to the point to where you can hold yourself up if we support you. You get such a kick when you're laying on your back and then I help you go from sitting to standing. You're so proud of yourself when you do this and just smile and laugh. You also like it when I lift you up over my head and do SUPER BABY! You will almost always calm down when I do this though lately I have to be carefully of you drooling on me from up there!

You're getting really close to rolling over. You can do it from your back to your belly sometimes, but I'm not sure if it's really intentional or not. When you're on your belly though you can hold your legs and your head up so well! You do an awesome cobra move. You've started pushing up with your fists and tilting to one side. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon!

3 Months

You've also found your fingers and will suck away at them. Or your fist. Or my finger. Or my wrist. I don't think you know how to actually get your fingers in your mouth, they just find their way there and you get all excited about it, then you cry when you discover they're not there any more. You've also recently discovered your feet, but haven't figured out that toes are also good to suck on. You do love it when I "kick" you in the face with your feet. I'll roll you up and ask, "Why are you kicking yourself?" I'm like the big brother you won't even have! You get such a good laugh out of it though.

You're just growing up so fast. I'm so sad to leave you to go back to work, but I know that we will both be just fine. I've loved every single minute I've spent with you at home and I wouldn't trade that time for anything in the world.

Love you Bud.
