The Little Mermaid Giveaway

Disclosure: I was given a copy of the movie in return for this post. All opinions are my own.

When I was little I LOVED The Little Mermaid.

I was in 2nd grade when the movie originally came out and I wanted to have red hair just like Ariel. It was the late 80s so there was a wonderful product called Sun In that my mother bought. She gave me what were probably gorgeous highlights until I got my hand on that bottle and turned my entire head into what can only be called orange meets neon yellow. Hey, it was the late 80s so I probably fit right in!

On October 1st, The Little Mermaid is being released from the Disney vault. It's been digitally remastered and has some amazing bonus features some of which include:

“Part of Your World” Music Video” Performed by Carly Rae Jepsen – Join Grammy-nominated recording artist Carly Rae Jepsen as she celebrates the return of “The Little Mermaid” with her recording of the beloved theme song, “Part of Your World.”

@DISNEYANIMATION – This new series takes viewers under the hat at Walt Disney Animation Studios and introduces them to the new generation of talent making animated magic by using the influence of the past to steer the future in exciting new ways.

Disney Intermission (Crab-E-OKE Sing-Along) – Join Sebastian the Crab for Crab-E-oke Sing-Along featuring Part Of Your World, Under The Sea, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Les Poisson and Kiss The Girl.

Deleted Character – Harold The Merman - Learn about Harold, a “Poor Unfortunate Soul” who didn’t make it into the final cut of the film.

I get to share one of my favorite childhood films (minus the bottle of Sun In) with all of you.

  5. I'd even sing the whole song for a DVD: I'll admit that in the past I've been a nasty. They werent' kidding when they called me, well, a witch! But you'll find that nowadays, I've mended all my ways. Repented, seen the light and made the switch - True? Yes! And I fortunately know a little magic. It's a talent that I always have possessed! And here lately - please don't laugh! I use it on behalf of the miserable, lonely and depressed (pathetic!) Poor unfortunate souls! In pain, in need. This one wanting to get thinner that one wants to get the girl and do I help them? Yes indeed!

Is that enough? Did I get the part?

  10. She was my favourite as well. We used to swim in my friend's pool and try to make our hair look as amazing as hers did underwater :)
