One Month Old!

Bud,

You're one month old! I cannot believe how fast time is going.

1 month

I think you're over 10 pounds already, but you still look so tiny. You fit into some newborn clothes and some 0-3. You're not chunky enough for some things. You're just long and skinny. We moved you up to size 1 diapers this week as well.

You are a mover for sure. It's so funny to see you make movements and I know that's what you were doing inside my belly. We can tell you have found your hands. In fact the first time you saw them you looked pretty shocked by it. You want to hold things SO BAD. You try to grab my boob, you try to hold your paci - often knocking it out of your mouth, and you love to pull my hair.

1 month

You're awake more now and you're always on the move. You've gained some more head control in the past few days, but you're definitely still a bobble head. You can move it side to side and lift it up for short spurts.

You have started cooing at things and will let out little Whaaa's when you want attention or in protest.

1 month

You love nothing more than a good swaddle. Because you don't fit into a lot of clothes we basically just keep you in a diaper and a swaddle. You don't seem to mind though. Plus you tend to just spit up on anything we put on you so what's the point. We really only dress you when we go somewhere.

and because I never posted this one. Here's your official Just Born picture. It pretty much sums up how you felt at that moment.

  2. I love the little stick-on ties! I wish I had thought of something like that when I did month-to-month photos. It's so amazing to see how big Bud's gotten already!

  5. One day, you'll so appreciate having captured these moments. I always thought I'd remember them forever. But...I didn't. And now I wish I had written more down.
