Christmas

John and I did our annual tradition of snack foods

and going to look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. The place that we usually go was a huge let down though. Only one of the normally 3+ blocks was decorated this year. Bummer. With a lot of driving around we did find a few gems.

Colored twinkle lights similar to Christmas Vacation but very hard to photograph.

A Snowman in a questionable looking position.

Right as we were going to give up and drive home we saw this bit of awesomeness.

Christmas morning we opened stockings. While I was making coffee Reese discovered something was in hers and was trying to jump up and get it off the mantle.

I think Reese was let down that she only got one bone and kept hoping that we'd give her something else.

Then we drove up to Temple to go spend Christmas with my family.

The kids were crazy about every single one of their presents. I wish I could have only an ounce of their excitement about things.

They couldn't even wait until we had passed everything out before they started tearing into gifts.

I had to mail John's hockey stick to my parents so he wouldn't know about it.

My mom bought John this and he won't stop playing with it. He wants all of them.

John was really good to me. I got a cute bird necklace from Etsy

Someone teach me to use this

We haven't had a family picture in quite some time.

We can be on our best behavior sometimes though.
