Both bands opened the show to a mash up of Single/The One set to Coldplay's Viva la Vida.
Then NKOTB sang Summertime

Followed by BSB and The Call

It went back and forth for a bit and then NKOTB did a set.

The guys still had it after all these years. They even did their same dance for The Right Stuff.
Oh Donnie Wahlberg. Why was I not in love with you back in 1989?

We were obviously LOVING the show

The Backstreet Boys were also amazing! They can still dance like they did back in the day too.

This part of I'll Never Break Your Heart (I think that's the song) was hilarious. This girl on the end we could have sworn she was going to have a heart attack. She was FREAKING out when they got her on stage.

The best part was when they got down on bended knee one of the girls pulls out her camera and takes a picture right when they put her on the big screen.

I still can't believe Donnie came back.

Or that he took his shirt off as much as he did.

Oh Jonathan and Donnie - my first love and my current I could look at you all day long and put your poster above my bed if that was appropriate for a woman my age and my husband wouldn't have MAJOR issues with it...

I'll be Loving You Forever

Catch Jonathan still hitting those crazy high notes in this song.
Both bands did a great job at working that entire penis stage.

Kandis and I sing along to I Want It That Way
Towards the end they did a cute intro of each of the guys.

They end with NKOTBSB singing Don't Turn out the Lights

Then we had to scream for the encore.

Then out came AJ to open Everybody

Then the stage turned green, Dropkick Murphys' I'm Shipping Out to Boston started playing

and out came NKOTB and Donnie in his Red Sox cowboy hat singing Hangin' Tough.

and then the battle of the bands started.

They did a mash up of Everybody/Hangin' Tough/We Will Rock You.
You could tell everyone was having a great time on the tour.

He was doing a snow angel

We finished up our evening at the Flying Saucer in Houston.

I don't know why I was making this face here. Maybe it's because my subconcious knew we should have stayed on Twitter and hightailed it to the nearest Waffle House since that's where the bands went.

Despite not running into any of the guys we had SUCH A FUN night. My favorite quote from Sarah while we were leaving the Toyota Center was how she is totally in love with the sweet, quiet, shy Knight brother Jonathan. Unfortunatley I had to break it to her that he's gay but it was so cute! Jonathan was my NKOTB heart throb back in the day!
I leave you with this picture from our hotel lobby since I left it out of my first post. We dubbed it the sperm chandelier.

Oh. Dear. God.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't blame it on the a-aaa-aa-lcohol.
