John Speaks

This is my first post on Faith's blog, and to be honest, my first blog ever. I remember I used to think that blogging was like an open diary so I never understood why anyone would read one, let alone write one. Thanks to my beautiful wife I have since been educated in the finer and sometimes sillier arts of blog writing. I would like to be able to maybe make a regular post that may eventually blossom into my own full blown blog, but I am not sure which direction to take things, so I thought I would ask Faith's readers what they might be interested in.
I do have a few ideas about things that could become regular posts from me and here they are. Keep in mind that I am well aware that most of Faith's regular readers are women, so I thought of these ideas with the ladies in mind, but I also thought I should write what I know.

1. How to understand your husband: advice from a husband. Let me know what you want to know about your husband.
2. Video Game reviews. It's about time that I put all my years of experience to use. I can make recommendations on new or old games. (ok, so this isn't really for the ladies, but I am a little bit of an expert with big opinions)
3. Crazy awesome questionnaires. I can think up really awesome "who would win in a cage match?" questions. This could be like a chick magazine quiz, but without any estrogen or perfume inserts.
4. Tricks for goofing off at work/church/school.
5. Um, ok, that's all I think I have for now. Any suggestions?

  1. Welcome! And you're such a good sport! I asked my hubby to post on my blog and he won't!

I'm going to go with the advice from guys because us girls always like to hear what you're really thinking : )

  2. How about all of the above? For my blog I can't just write about one thing, so I chose three; social media, movies and The Beatles. lol It's kind of a mish-mash of things but it's fun. I would especially like to hear advice from the guys side. That is always entertaining.

  3. For one, I would LOVE to see gift ideas around the holidays. What to get, and what NOT to get.

In terms of advice from a husband about husbands, I want to know why the clothes can make it to the floor next to the laundry hamper, but not IN the laundry hamper...

  4. My vote is 1 or 3. My husband hardly knows how to turn on the computer much less write a blog post...if I asked him, he'd probably just dictate it to me and then I would just type what I wanted! LOL

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  5. Definitely #1! I have the same question as Merideth...how hard is it to put the clothes in the laundry hamper?!? Apparently this is a common issue for men, so maybe I need your advice in how to accept it instead of getting so worked up about it!

  6. I'm with Meredith - gift ideas! I SUCK at gifts for my husband.

Also, YES to the crazy questionnaires. I can only imagine how funny they would be. And yes to advice. So, almost all of the above?
