Ten On Tuesday

1. Where did you go to college?
I did a semester at community college back in Kingwood (as well as a summer semester) and then transferred in my 2nd semester freshmen year to St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

I also went to University of Texas at San Antonio for my Masters.

2. What did you study?
I started off as International Business, decided I will never be fluent in Spanish no matter how many novellas I watched with my roommate, considered changing to accounting before I decided I rather stick forks in my ears and finally settled on Human Resources.

I majored in Adult Learning and Teaching for my MA.

3. Was college really all that it was cracked up to be?
I LOVED college. I had a great group of friends. I did all the crazy college stuff. I spent a ton of money doing it, and yet would still do it all over again! I'd probably add in a full semester of study abroad rather than just a summer though.

Grad school is totally overrated.

4. How far were you from home?
3 hours. Close enough yet far enough. UTSA was where I worked so I was either at the campus I worked or at the one that was less than 5 minutes from my house.

5. Did you have the same roommate all four years?
I sure did. Rosa. We knew we'd be BFF's on the day we moved in and we both showed up with boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios. We had bunk beds. We were awesome.

6. Where did you order food from at 2am?
Hmmm....campus had a delivery service for awhile that was awesome. Usually got pizza and or wings from them. St. Mary's is kind of in the GHETTO so we usually didn't venture out to find food (there was only a McDonalds nearby). If we were out though we'd get Taco Cabana, Jack in the Box or Whataburger. (Whataburger is how I gained a ton of weight my junior year)

7. Did you date in college or were you tied down?
I had a boyfriend when I went and then we broke up - long distance thing and all. Then I dated another guy for almost 3 years. John and I started dating halfway though my senior year.

8. Funniest drunk college moment?
Hmmmm......that's a REALLY hard one, which may or may not be classified due to roommate confidentiality and all. Some fun (and not always drunk) moments were living on campus during Oyster Bake. I once asked Sarah to jump out a window so we could sneak her out of the building since she wasn't supposed to be there. Senior year during Oyster Bake I snuck John in in the trunk of my car since he also wasn't supposed to be there. (They're very strict about visitors in the dorms during Oyster Bake)

9. Did you make it to class on time?
Usually.

10. What was your favorite class in college?
My senior level HR classes. It was the same little group of us in all the classes and our professor was awesome.
