Pear Thief

Our pears won't be ready for at least another month, but something is already having a taste of them.

It's not just the pears that have fallen to the ground. Whatever it is it's taking bites from pears still on the tree.

Whatever it is it can climb a tree (opossum?) and yet is gentle enough to take bites out of rock hard pears without pulling them off the tree (raccoon?)

  2. Squirrels. My dad used to go shoot them out of our neighbor's tree. Where they had taken refuge after he started laying in wait for them under our pecan tree.

  5. I would bet squirrels or chipmunks. Whatever it is, it is clearly a little shit.
