Oh Why Hi There

Nope. I didn't forget about blog land. In fact, I've stayed up with my reading, just not with my postings. I haven't had a ton going on lately so I don't have much to say, but I didn't have time for the 12 Week photography lesson for last week.

I started a new position at the store. I'm enjoying it so far. Plus I work four 8 hour days now which means 1 shift at the restaurant and 2 days off. 2.DAYS.OFF. Oh I had it last week and it was absolutely wonderful. Granted I spent one day running around going to Dr.'s appointments, but still. 2.DAYS.OFF.

Speaking of Dr.'s appointments the Old Man Toe is as painful as ever. My Foot Dr. gave me an oral steroid to try along with a heavy duty anti-inflammatory to try to clear it up. I don't think it's working. Boo.

I went to a coworker's 21st birthday party last week. Oh yes. I just said that. I cracked up when I tweeted about it and friends gave me advice like, "drink, water, drink, water" "Have a shot for every year you're over 21." Most other people just laughed at me and wondered what the hell I had gotten myself into. It was actually very tame since I only agreed to go to the first bar and they were only there for an hour.

The Spurs are in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Go Spurs Go! I have to say I didn't think they'd make it this far so it's pretty exciting.

The garden is going nuts in some areas and not so much in others. I actually did some additional planting. Pictures and a full garden update coming soon.

Do you watch Glee? You should if you don't. Sue Sylvester is my hero. She cracks me up every freaking episode. So is Ron Swanson if you watch Parks and Rec. John thinks I'm the female version of Ron Swanson. I'm also loving the new show Parenthood. Ummm....yeah, I guess we're watching a lot of TV around here.

I'm probably going to jinx myself by typing this, but Rufus hasn't pooped in his crate in I don't know how long. It's totally a gift from god since we're still convinced that Rufus is the devil.

I have a confession. I totally want to eat one of those Double Downs.

I don't want to eat the whole thing, but I totally want one really good bite of one.

John just saw that I was writing this and said, "THANK GOD! You're FINALLY writing something!" He just admitted that he reads my blog twice a day (it's rare that I post more than once) and he should get advance reading privileges as I just yelled at him for trying to read over my shoulder. He mentions every now and then about posting on here. One day I'm going to get him to actually do it.

  1. Glad to see you're back and things are going well. That Double Down does look good...maybe you can talk John into ordering it and just taking a bite?

  2. Hubby and I were watched tv over the weekend and the commercial for the Double Down came on. He did a double-take and thought it was the most brilliant invention ever! LOL!

  3. Justin is the same way about the blog. He totally reads it...and he especially loves to read the comments whenever I post about him :)

And I am super excited for your garden update (does this make me a nerd?)...we are hoping to get things into the ground this weekend.

  4. I think the best part of this post is John's exclamation. Too cute!
