When I shot the same picture not in macro the photo wasn't in focus. In fact, I had to move the camera away so I could even take this shot.

Macro is great if you have a point and shoot. If you have a SLR you'll need a macro lens or you can creatively crop your photos as well.
I headed out to my local library for these shots. I love Texas this time of year because there are wildflowers everywhere. The library backs up to a park that has a huge field of wildflowers, but the library itself has a lot of little paths and outdoor seating areas surrounded by flowers. I also went a little photo happy and took a ton of pictures. It was hard to narrow down my favorites and I really couldn't cut it down to just a few. Here are my top macro shots:

Cropped it a bit

Next week we'll work on action shots!
Love the shots with the dew!
ReplyDeleteLove the shots. And that carrot cake looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I am a lover of water shots and agree with Kristal about the dew picture. I just think they are so neat and up close!
ReplyDeleteThose butterfly photos are beautiful! It's so hard to get them before they move and I can never get lucky enough to catch one. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI second Kristal--the shot with the dew is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI wish our flowers were blooming!
I love these tips! Macro is probably my favourite way to shoot things. I didn't realize you needed a separate lens for SLR cameras - I'll have to remember that if/when I buy one!
ReplyDeleteFaith... these are beautiful shots! What kind of camera did you use again?
ReplyDeleteThanks Becky! I've got a Canon SX110.
