Ten on Tuesday

1. When you were a senior in high school, what career did you think you’d choose? Did you? Why or why not?
I thought I'd be a vet. I can't handle blood and guts though and when you add that to dying animals there was just no way.

2. What one thing about the “real world” did you find most surprising once you were on your own?
That what I learned in school in NO WAY prepared me for the real world or a real job.

3. Name 3 things you think your closest friends DON’T like about you.
Hmmm.....that's a tough one. They're probably too scared to tell me.....Kidding. Maybe. The one thing that does comes to mind is that I tell it as it is. Sometimes people hate that and sometimes it's what they need to hear. Sometimes I'm the last to know something because of this. I can also be a bit bossy. It's the control freak in me. That could be a third thing. Of course I see none of those things as bad things. That could also be a 4th thing....

4. In order to sleep, do you need background noise or absolute quiet?
I can sleep through whatever. As long as the noise isn't something totally annoying I'm good.

5. Why do you choose to reside in your current city? Yes, you have a choice
Well I came here for school and just stayed. I really like San Antonio. It has great weather, it's small yet large enough. Centrally located and close yet far enough from all my family. Plus people love to visit here.

6. Are you close to your parents?
I've become closer to them each year. Same with my brothers.

7. What is your favorite fiction book? Poem? Blog?
Hmmm....I don't have a favorite. This drives John crazy because I can't name a favorite of anything. I have a lot of stuff that I REALLY like, but I don't name favorites. I do really enjoy chick lit and historical fiction. I don't like poetry and the blogs I enjoy are over on my sidebar.

8. Do you enjoy cooking or is it a chore?
Love cooking. Sometimes it can be a chore though. We need to get better about meal planning around here so it becomes less of a chore.

9. Be honest. What one thing would (the majority of) your blog readers be shocked to find out about you?
Hmmm.....another hard one. John says the fact that I've never eaten a Big Mac is pretty shocking, but I told you all that a few weeks ago. I don't think I lost any readers over that one.

10. If you were given your own national holiday, what would you require people to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Day of You? Would there be a parade? Greeting cards?
Umm....my birthday is a national holiday didn't you know? At least in my book it is. There would be no greeting cards. Blah. There are already too many card holidays. You would not have to work on my holiday and it would always fall on a Friday so that you had a 3 day weekend. It would be a day of relaxation and enjoyment. You wouldn't have to make a special meal and you wouldn't have to spend it visiting your 80 million relatives unless it's something you'd want to do. Do whatever makes you happy and enjoy the three days off!

  1. I would celebrate the Day of Faith any time!

  2. "that could also be a 4th thing..." Nice!

BTW, I scrolled down. I love your hair!
