Next we did the Grand March. There were SO MANY people that participated that it wasn't much of a march since there wasn't a lot of space, but it was a lot of fun! I know someone has a video of it and I'm sure the photographer got some great pictures! When the Grand March ends, everyone is in a circle around the bride and groom and that's when they do their first dance.

Julie and Karl kept thier first dance song choice a secret, but I did know that they practiced their dance.

This is one that turned out blurry, but kinda cool

Julie and her dad - who is a funny man! I loved Julie's dad!

Karl started off with his mom and then had his step-mom joined in.

Next up was the cake cutting

They were good and no smashing occurred

When the time came to cut the grooms cake, Karl didn't want to cut the logo. He LOVES the Red Sox!

Then cames the toasts where we decided we should have taught Karl how to not do the ugly cry before the wedding. Oh well!

Then the dancing began! John and Karl had a dance off

Slappin' the base (name that movie)

Here's me and John

Notice the red marks on my chest? I call that dancing boob. You know when the girls aren't properly strapped down and your chest starts to hurt from the bouncing? Yep, totally happened.
Then it was time for the bouquet and garter tosses(yes, things happened a little early as there were a lot of old people in attendence). I already talked about the cougar that took my bouquet so I'll just show you Karl diving for the garter.

A future couple? :)

Afterwards there was some car decorating. I'm really not sure why the guys didn't go and wash Karl's car for him.

Then there was some dancing with the baby.

Me and the bride (why don't you ever think of taking pictures together BEFORE you turn into a hot sweaty mess?)

John and I with the bride and groom

Then they did a couple of those line dances that I don't do

and it was time for the fake send off where we all saw how scared of rose petals Karl is.

When Julie and Karl made it back in we did a boys vs girls danceoff to the Grease song mix

John did some more air guitar

Here's to the bride and groom!

A great group shot near the end of the night

The DJ didn't have Julie's favorite song, but luckily Stephanie came through and had it in her car. Here we all are dancing to Party in the USA

You gotta love the groomsman willing to sing along to Miley Cyrus while wearing his tie on his head!
The bachelorette party girls!

The last dance of the night

Julie's sorority sisters sang a song to her. It was really sweet!

Another one that we probably should have taken before we started dancing!

and they're off!

Only, we don't ever just end the party. We headed off to a local bar.
Their first married shot together!

Showin' off the married bling

Me and the hubs

We ended the wedding weekend with breakfast at IHOP - yum!

SO fun! Julie looked gorgeous! I love her dress! Tell her I said congratulations! I miss seeing all you guys (or should I say all y'all)!
ReplyDeleteThat 'scared of rose petals' pic cracks me up! I was telling hubs about that the other night and cracking up just picturing it. Here's the link to the cancellation of Trauma (scroll to the end) http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/networks-play-the-cancellation-card--783
ReplyDeleteSounds like Julie and Karl had an awesome wedding!
