Monkey Bread

The other day I wandered over to Pioneer Woman and saw this picture:

I HAD to have this. Because I didn't want this whole thing going straight to my hips I decided to also force this on the lovely ladies I play bunco with each month.

My one bit of advice is don't use an angel food cake pan. It may or may not cause that butter and brown sugar that you just poured all over the dough balls to leak everywhere. If this does happen to you and your solution is just to throw it into the oven anyways be sure to tell your husband because the crystallized sugar just might reheat and expand to hit the heating element. This may cause a small fire to happen in your oven the following day when your husband tries to bake a pizza. Also make sure your husband knows where the baking soda is because water does not work in this situation.

Aside from its potential fire danger, this monkey bread is absolutely delicious and absolutely addicting. The 6 of us almost polished the whole thing off.

  3. Meredith - I'd use a regular old bunt pan. That's what I had planned on using, I just somehow don't seem to own one.
