Yesterday my two coworkers started having a conversation about pizza. That's all I could think of for the rest of the day. Thanks a lot guys!

So I decided to make my own creation of a favorite pizza - Margherita. Mmm....nothing like some basil, tomatoes and mozzarella. Yum! In fact we got one from Costco a couple months ago that was downright delicious. I have since turned against Costco because they refuse to take credit cards - Who does that ? - so I will never again get pizza from there.

Ingredients in this dish:
One tube of Pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough
Basil Pesto - thanks to HEB being nazis I could only find their refrigerated brand and I'm too lazy to make my own.
Sliced mozzarella cheese (I'm on a budget and couldn't afford the real stuff)

Roll out the dough, spread on the pesto, put a layer of sliced tomatoes, cover with cheese and bake according to the pizza crust directions.

and After:

Now trust me this thing was delicious. However, I set the oven to a higher temp on accident. So I'm not sure if it was this fact or there was too much oil in the pesto, but the crust was really soggy. It could also be the cheap refrigerated pizza dough I bought as well.

and yes, we ate the whole thing!

  1. that looks SO good.

Pesto is near the spaghetti sauce, BTW :o)
