Cookies, Cookies, and More Cookies

So in preparation for Molly's bachelorette there were many many cookies to be made. Julie came over to help out and even made John and I some yummy meatloaf. We first bought the log of dough from the grocery store. But all the cookies came out kind of deformed.

We decided the dough wasn't "stiff" enough and tried freezing it. That still didn't work so we decided to make our own. I also got to try out a new recipe in the process. I know - can you believe it? I've never made sugar cookies. I was a little scared because Betty told me I needed to use powdered sugar. It turned out alright in the end and I think tasted better than the store bought log. They also came out a little more "normal" looking and not so cloud like.

Made a huge mess, that I did not leave for John to clean up:

and we had tons of fun decorating:

In the end we were really happy with the finished product.

We also tried to make penis jello jigglers, but that didn't quite work out. I don't think the jello was quite thick enough. Not one to let some good jello shots go to waste, I portioned them out and they became a great start to the bachelorette party.

More to come on the party later.
